    if I understand correctly, it’s actually because she is. it explains that in order for a civil case to be under the jurisdiction of a federal court (and a civil case must be what she’s attempting, since she doesn’t cite any federal law to allege that the defendants have broken it), none of the plaintiffs can be citizens of the same state as any of the defendants. otherwise, presumably, it would fall under the jurisdiction of whichever state both parties are citizens of. so because both she and some gay people are Nebraskans, the case would have to be handled by a Nebraska state court, not a federal court






  • oh, we’re supposed to disagree with this? he’s right, and it’s Bush’s fault. because of “no child left behind” we’re letting kids who can’t read graduate high school. now, that’s not to say they should never graduate, but rather that they should have been taught to read, and not allowed to advance until they can










  • I feel like that would have come up at some point during my two years of thermodynamics classes where we were constantly using ∆T. just did a search for “C°” in quotes, and for delta T; first one returned nothing, second showed a bunch of sources where the units of ∆T were °C. any idea where you might have heard this?
