I wish I could do better than my parents but that is out of the question. I grew up poor, we were middle class when I was in high school, and then my boomer dad started making good money right as I was graduating and moved out. I make less less than half of what he was making 35 years ago, not even adjusting for inflation. I have no retirement savings but maybe I’ll get a small inheritance if I manage to outlive them both and medical bills don’t burn through their funds. I’m expecting to work for 60 years.

I’m expecting 13-73.

Whatever you are, everyone has preferences. I’d prefer to be younger and more attractive but I’d also prefer that in a partner even though I’m not that myself. I love the vibes of older people but not many older people have taken good care of their bodies. I get it, it is difficult.

That’s a no for me. Although I do make a version of jambalaya with no seafood and extra spicy. I love the heat and the seasonings but I’ll pass on crawfish, shrimp and anything else that filters shit as a food source.

Meanwhile, I have a 16-year-old son who plays Roblox a decent amount, they do facial scanning and then put you in groups based on their assessment. Or at least that is my understanding. Dude just turned 16 this week, but they put him in the over 21 category. Granted he does have a full beard and has a ridiculously deep voice, but he did at 14 just like I did. I’m not worried about him gaming with older people though, he doesn’t really want to leave the house so he’s not going to get raped by some predator, plus the 21+ crowd is generally more mature. And whatever they have to say, he’s probably already heard it anyway. And I dare a predator to come here lol. They’d never find him.

The only problem is when we define everyone who disagrees with us as a fascist. I won’t go hunting authoritarians but if they bring a fight, I’m ready to finish it. That includes authoritarian fascists and leftists, because I’m not on board with either.

The purple version was the best. Mine from 1999 has had the most use and still works the best. I’ve bought new aftermarket controllers but none stand up to the old translucent purple.
