Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•US political divisions according to a Japanese newspaper
5·2 months agoThat’s how the west got where it is now. The majority no giving a shit opens the door for the minority/nutters to do what they want.
Being “apolitical” means you support the current system/party. If you didn’t you’d be political.

The problem is back when we used to sack the castle if the king let us down there were only guards with hand weapons, maybe some cross bows in the way. You could overwhelm them with numbers pretty easily.
And the castle was just up on the hill you all lived around.
Now with the weaponry that is available (especially to the us govenment) the ability to defend against untrained and under armed civilians massive. And the castle may well be across the country. And that slimy fuck will be over in Argentina with a $40 billion tab courtesy of the US people.
I’m really worried that trump will face zero consequences for his actions. It’s not like he ever really has before.

You think “AI” isn’t the default, normalised thing?
People rarely click on links in search anymore, they’re happy to use the AI summary, iPhones have small LLM models on them, people use it to write reports, others use it to read those reports. Companies implement policy to mandate AI usage even if it’s objectively worse.
