Pretty sure fat and cholesterol have killed more people than that.
100% of people who breath air have died, or will die. None of these things have even comparable kdrs to air.
I think that same statistic applies to drinking water. So I guess the question is, are people more likely to breathe air or drink water? I’m betting on air, but I don’t know if dying in utero still counts as having imbibed water.
I briefly shadowed at a medical examiner’s office. “Choking” was a scarily common cause to see up on the board. So I have a hard time believing only one person has ever died eating a donut in that same span of time.
Note that I am pretty sure a lot of those choking deaths are in older people because your swallowing can become impaired.
