If they went all out like that I’d respect it a lot more. Give me the Odyssey but make everyone look straight outta Warhammer or something crazy like that.

How did I never hear about this? I definitely need Hercules with lightsabers in my life now!

On a side note it’s crazy how many times the trailer guy said the name of the movie. Every sentence gotta involve Hercules at least once.

            You’re welcome.

I’m not sure if this is c/bmoviebonanza material, but it’s up there. Anyway, that’s a solid community if you enjoy shlocky “how did this happen?!” movies.

Also, just dig through the Cannon Group movie list for more “throw crazy shit at the wall” gems like this. Some are hits, most are misses, and a few are really incredible misses.

It’s just so obviously a vacuformed plastic shell that doesn’t fit the actor that’s wearing it. Has no visual relation to any of the other armor styles in the film, despite supposedly being from the same culture, time period, and status level.

He looks like a futurized, Coppola’s Megalopolis interpretation of classical armor.

How about stylistically and thematically consistent? Surely, Nolan could have at least tried for that?

Again, multiple other characters in the trailer who are of the same status level, time period, and culture, but no consistency.

Egger’s The Northman was an equally mythologically interlaced tale, but you don’t see any vacuformed plastic there, do you?

The Northman wasn’t based on one of the most famous fantasy epics ever written and the person wearing the helmet is half god.

            So you’re saying…what?

That when you’re the son of a god, you get the cheap plastic props? What point are you actually trying to make?

By your logic, The Odyssey should have more impressive props, given the divine pedigree of the story and main character. But no. Batman looking plastic, grey colorless fabric, no bronze or dye in evidence.
