Brand disloyalty is easily earned and hard to shake. I had a similar situation with virgin Giga-Byte and chad Asus like 20 years ago. Guess whose components I continued to buy.

I’ve never done the pre-smoke for a sous vide cook, but I’ve heard good things. I didn’t get all this automated slow cooker crap so I could have more steps lol
I’m in sous vide gang as well, but also highly recommend a slow pecanwood or applewood smoke.

The Martingale system is the definitive example of gambler’s fallacy. There’s definitely a “smart” way to gamble, but it generally requires games with a skill element, which casinos specifically avoid for this reason.
In a pedantic mood, so apologies in advance… It’s “how it feels” or “what it feels like”. The combined wording makes zero sense and it drives me nuts that so many people seem to think this is the correct way of saying it.
