It’s because of the labor and cost of goods.

Ingredients to make banh mi are very cheap but workers in the US are paid more for transportation, making the food and the business operating(lights, has, etc) so now the price rise to fit the cost.

Also some items are priced higher to cover more expensive ingredients. Let’s say you are doing beef banh mi, that’s usually scrap beef from something, let’s say some sirloin scraps, your steak on the menu should probably be like $40 but if you sell a ton of banh mi you can cut that price down to like $30-$35.

The immediate results dealt a severe blow to union efforts in southern West Virginia. The United Mine Workers of America lost influence in the coalfields, and it required more than a decade for union strength to return during the New Deal era.

So it didn’t work until we voted in the guy who would establish the New Deal, as I said.

Voting works. That’s why I’m talking about voting. Storming the parapets is what a moron thinks the solution is.

It is the equivalent of punching someone over understanding the how and why of a situation. It is like those people who blame societies woes on folk who only just developed the right to vote, own property, etc. a few generations ago. It’s I’ll informed.

Voting works. Everything around this entire socio-political atmosphere or it’s the simple fact – they do not want people voting.

They attack polling places, redistricting, stacking courts, storming a capitol building, calling state representatives to find votes, run around online pushing narratives about Jill Stein and the green party and pulling on heart strings telling people about the recent atrocities and how Ron Paul or some other never-gonna-win-in-this-election candidate is the one to vote for. It’s why they don’t want women, or brown/black people to vote. It’s why they try to make immigrants and queers not-full-people.

Stories of illegal voting, manipulations, attacking the very foundation of a government, our government. For the last, literally ever.

Again, if No Vote was a candidate it would win every election, look at the amount of force applied to make people not vote. AND STILL it’s hanging on by a thread and they haven’t seem to kill it yet.

Voting is strong and voting is the solution. Any other direction away from that you’re playing into their hand. And never once has storming the parapets ever launched decent people in power. Voting gave us Civil Rights, the New Deal, protected our water and nature from destruction, granted more people a form of medical assistance, gave us the footwork and methodology of a more cohesive one world economy which has granted humanity the ability to literally start having such a level of control over our planet we have the power to harm it and voting will likely be the only path to fixing that too.

You’re a fool if you think attacking the monopolizer on violence is the solution especially when that entity is the American government who firebombs their own citizens but couldn’t storm a capitol to stop a vote.

Because in reality that is what people like you are pushing even if you don’t realize it.

Who else is in the ivory tower besides Trump? Biden? Obama? Clinton? Kamala? Bernie? Who the fuck are you talking about? It’s nonsense, when reality collides with your ideals you realize how fuckin stupid it is. You literally accused all of those people of being in an ivory tower and acting as raiders. Those are your words.

    It never happens this way.

Once group A “seizes the power from the ownership class” THEY BECOME THE OWNERSHIP CLASS.

This is history, this is how it works. It’s very foolish to believe what you see on TV or what you’re told when reality has never gone that way ever not once.

Voting has positively impacted the world, democracy has moved mountains.

    Completely ignorant.

If not voting was a candidate it’d win every election. That’s the problem. That’s why they hand the candidacy to Clinton, that’s why they can assert Kamala and not worry

Not like people are gonna vote anyway, they’re penny pinching for votes. The decent politicians cannot afford to campaign on the same scale and the fact nobody comes out to vote means pound for pound, spending money on elections isn’t entirely worth it

Go vote. That’s the solution. Tell other people to vote. Believing a system that people aren’t buying into doesn’t work is a misunderstanding of the system.

    You’re literally preaching you bonehead.

Your message is not the same as everyone here.

Voting works. The problem is people like you.

If not voting was a candidate it’d win every election in a landslide. Dopes like you create an ouroboros of self confirmation, a self fulfilling prophecy. Voting doesn’t work, so why vote and now that people don’t vote, voting doesn’t work. So why vote?

It’s a crap message stemming from a misunderstanding of the problem of our system. People have to buy into it. It’s “cool” not to buy into it.

Remember when people tried to say Hillary was just as corrupt? Now it’s Kamala sat atop her ivory tower and is a marauder and/or a raider. They’re just as bad as Trump. It’s equal.

Don’t vote, destroy your system from the outside. Let Trump win, let it burn.

That is this guys message. And as cute this idea is when you’re 16 or whatever, once reality hits it’s not what you’re describing.

Destroying, decaying and damaging a system hurts the lowest rung first and the highest rung, never.

Voting does make change. It doesn’t when every election bozos like you try to dissuade more people from voting.

She says “talking to” I don’t think that’s really cheating.

I’m a full grown adult. I do have friendships with people I had relationships with. I do hangout with friends who are women. I do have relationships at work where someone expresses interest in me and I engage

If we are just talking and being friends, figuring out what this could be. I don’t think that’s an exclusivity thing. Make that clear, ask for that, establish the relationship. Talking to you doesn’t suddenly acquire a relationship from me.
