I agree with the spirit of the message but lets not use Nazi terminology to refer to awesome queer sexy raunchy kinky stuff.

I may not be the most terminally online person out there, but this is the first time I’ve seen anybody refer to “degen” as nazin terminology. I googled it and it’s all referring to gamblers and late night gamers and perverts. If they ever claimed the word, it doesn’t belong to them anymore.

Hell yeah. Nothing belongs to them. Nazis don’t get to have things even when they do belong to them.

        Same difference between:

“I’ve used this instrument to capture a panoramic shot in a very peculiar position, with a precise light and a precise exposure, all to give a dramatic effect to the image”

        and

“I’ve clicked the button of the food vending machine in a precise order, so, i’m basically cooking”

AI is a medium, whether it becomes art or not depends on who is using it, just as photography or any other medium out there.

I would posit many of the edits people do with Photoshop ARE art; unlike AI slop.

It was much better when everyone bought the same photo of the Eiffel tower from IKEA for the last 30 years. Artists were super in demand and lived lavish lifestyles before AI. There’s centuries of literature which talks about how amazing the life of artists was, but now those damned computers and their capitalist owners have doomed artistic wealth and spirit forever.

Maybe it’s a weird take on the argument saying AI somehow “democratized” art.

So now instead of everyone having the same generic art from IKEA, people can instead hang some terrible unique slop on their walls you better not look at too closely.
